I later discovered that the differences between GTBank Saving Account tier 1, tier2 and tier3 is that:

Tier 1 account can be opened without the need for ID card and other verification except for BVN. It could be limited to the amount receivable per transaction and amount total balance. For example, it could be N50,000 maximum per each transaction and can not have more can N300,000 cumulative total account balance. If it does, the account will be blocked and the owner will need to visit the bank to prove and unblock.

(tier 2 & tier 3)

Tier 2 account requires additional info like ID card. Same as tier 1 above but could be extended to about N100,000 maximum per transaction and a cumulative total of N500,000 only.

Tier 3 account requires even more or same as Tier 2 bank account - Unlike Tier 1 and Tier 2 bank account, it allows larger sum possibly up to 1million to 2million per transaction and cumulative also in tens or hundreds of millions.
